Terms of Service

2. What RPMunity Is

RPMunity is a group riding and driving coordination platform for motorcyclists and car enthusiasts. It lets you discover, organise, and join group rides and drives, and builds a karma score that reflects your reliability as a participant.

The core features of the Service include:

• Creating and joining group ride and drive events
• A karma system that tracks your attendance and reliability across events
• Organiser controls to review participants before accepting join requests
• Real-time notifications for event updates and ride communications
• A profile and history visible to other users on the platform
• Direct messaging between riders you follow or who follow you

RPMunity is a coordination tool only. We are not a transportation service, do not control how rides are conducted, and are not present on any ride or drive. All events are organised and attended entirely at the discretion and risk of the users involved.

3. Early Access Period

RPMunity is currently in an early access / founding phase. During this period:

• The Service may be incomplete, unstable, or subject to significant changes
• Features described on the public site may not yet be fully available
• Karma scores, event records, and other data accumulated during early access will be carried forward to the full release unless a reset is announced in advance
• We may invite or restrict access at our sole discretion

4. Eligibility

To use RPMunity you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Hold a valid licence for any vehicle you participate with in events
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Not have been previously suspended or banned from the Service

5. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at jan.klecka@rpmunity.eu if you suspect unauthorised access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or causes harm to other users or the platform.

6. The Karma System

The karma system is the foundation of trust on RPMunity. By using the Service you accept the following:

• Your karma score reflects your real attendance history across events
• Confirmed attendance followed by a no-show reduces your karma
• Last-minute cancellations (within a timeframe defined in the app) carry a karma penalty
• Early and timely cancellations have reduced or no penalty
• Organisers can view your karma history before accepting your join request
• Your karma score and basic attendance record are visible to other users

Karma is calculated automatically. We do not manually adjust karma scores except to correct documented technical errors. Attempting to manipulate karma through fake accounts, coordinated no-shows, or any other means is a violation of these Terms and may result in a permanent ban.

7. Events

Organisers are responsible for the accuracy of their event details, including route, meeting point, date, pace, and any safety requirements. You must ensure your event complies with local traffic law and any applicable permits or regulations. RPMunity is not liable for incidents, property damage, or injuries arising from events you organise.

Participants join events at their own risk. Confirming attendance is a commitment. If you can no longer attend, cancel as early as possible to protect your karma score and allow others to take your place. You are solely responsible for assessing whether a given event - its route, pace, and group - is suitable for your skill level and vehicle.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• Harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse other users
• Manipulate or attempt to manipulate karma scores
• Create events with the intent to defraud or harm participants
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute any content from the Service without our written permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the infrastructure or security of the Service

9. Content You Submit

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service, including profile information, event descriptions, photos, and messages. By submitting content you grant RPMunity a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and use that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. We do not sell your content to third parties.

10. Direct Messages

RPMunity allows registered users to send direct messages to other riders. By using this feature you accept the following:

• You may only message riders who follow you or whom you follow. Incoming requests from other users require your explicit acceptance before a conversation begins.
• You are solely responsible for the content of messages you send. Messages must not contain harassment, threats, unsolicited promotions, or any content prohibited under Section 8.
• You may block any user at any time to immediately prevent further contact via messages.
• You may report any user who sends you abusive or inappropriate messages. Reports are reviewed by RPMunity and may result in suspension or termination of the offending account.
• RPMunity does not proactively monitor private messages but may review message content when a report is submitted and reserves the right to remove messages and take enforcement action where these Terms are violated.

11. Safety Disclaimer

Motorcycling and motorised driving carry inherent and significant risks, including serious injury or death. RPMunity is a coordination tool and has no visibility into actual rides. We do not vet rider qualifications, assess route conditions, confirm vehicle roadworthiness, or supervise any event in any way. You are solely responsible for your own safety and the safety of others during any ride or drive arranged through the platform.

12. Intellectual Property

The RPMunity name, logo, design, and all software and content produced by us are owned by RPMunity and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without written permission.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RPMunity is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of - or inability to use - the Service. This includes but is not limited to accidents, injuries, property damage, loss of karma data, or service interruptions. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

14. Service Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no guarantees of uptime, continuity, or fitness for any particular purpose. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue features or the entire Service at any time, with reasonable advance notice where circumstances allow.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic and, where applicable, European Union law. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Czech Republic, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify registered users by email and/or an in-app notice before the new Terms take effect. The updated effective date will appear at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
